Nestled in the heart of Beppu, the Rex Hotel is a true gem for any adventure-seeker. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the staff's warm welcome as they guided me through the check-in procedure, which felt secure with their thoughtful use of transparent partitions. The oceanfront views from my room were stunning, and my companions and I enjoyed sipping on delicious freshly brewed coffee while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The highlight of our stay had to be the incredible onsen experience on the top floor, where the infinity pool allowed us to absorb the beauty of the sea while relaxing in soothing hot springs. Breakfast was a delightful Japanese-style spread, and while the selection was not overly extensive, the quality was undeniably top-notch, especially that salmon roe rice-I couldn't resist making two! With a short stroll to the beach and an abundance of eateries nearby, Rex Hotel Beppu exceeded all expectations, making it an ideal base for exploring this enchanting part of Japan. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and local culture.
